Hello... the mods have begun

Does anyone know where I can purchase a sheet of carbon or GRP with a curved edge large enough for the dash....

it seems that all the carbon dashes advertised are too small.

The other option would be to use a sheet of flat carbon but to attach an edge along the bottom but I cannot think of what to use.. (I think this may not look very good) I want the curve on the bottom not just to stop me hurting my legs but also to strengthen it.

Carbon mods used to do one.

Not sure which scuttle you've got but it's worth asking agm / equinox if they can do a carbon dash panel. If you need any sizes I can measure mine for you.

CBS do a curved bottom GRP dash. (http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/grp-dash-blank) Not that cheap for what it is but did the job nicely as I couldn't be arsed making a new aluminum one at the time.

Friend of mine just outside Heddon could possibly do one in f/g if you have pattern.

Do I need to make a mould or just give him the dimensions ?

This is my current dilemma. Picked up a steering wheel from Demon Tweaks today btw David.:D Bored so took the kids for a drive. It's only an hour away.

edit: I might go for that CBS dash. Seems the ticket. I tried to mould ABS plastic around a 38mm pipe. It didn't go well.

The other company do one in carbon for £80 which should fit. I will need to make an impulse purchase soon.

Btw.....I will post the stuff tomorrow. Been waiting for a correct size box to come a long (as well as getting far too stressed out with my dvla forms)

I've been after a carbon dash as well but I've kinda given up. I did think of mk but I couldn't get a straight answer what the dims were, just 'it will fit an mk'

Let us know if you find one that fits

That one looks good but its about 3.5 cm too small. will need to measure the scuttle to see how much it slopes in at the sides as it may fit.

It would be handy as they are just around the corner from me.

My scuttle side to side is 1120mm. Looks like it's the CBS dash blank for me. AGM scuttle doesn't have too much to fix to on the dash side. Also I need to pass IVA not sure that one would without rubber trim on the bottom edge ends. Nice find though.:)
