You need the rear uprights, half shafts and brakes with hand brake cables (DO NOT CUT THESE !!!) If like most you can't get the outer lower wishbone bolt to move let alone out cut through it with a cutting disk, you can always drill the rest of the bolt out later. If the top mount of the upright is completely shot replace with a 90A shore polyurethane replacement with a stainless crush tube with a 12mm through hole (these will be in my online shop soon).
This is what the TMXR wishbones look like when assembled with the upright in place, the gap will take a standard 34mm coilover.

Early cars are fitted with the smaller/shorter diff and the later cars are fitted with the larger/longer diff, the covers are not inter-changable between the two.

Yes I thought that too at first but then I found out that late mk1 1800's had the smaller viscous LSD diff fitted as well, and the bolt on stub shafts where fitted to both the large and small diffs......can of worms any body?
Richard you've got the larger diff I'll have one in stock in the next few days as it's exchange from another customer....

The early 1.8 diffs were bolt-on shafts like the early 1.6, but they have different PCDs (don't ask me how I know, driveshafts are still a bit of a sore subject as far as my car's concerned).
I have never heard, or seen, anywhere, a 1.8 with the smaller CWP diff as OEM standard. Even the later (detuned) Euro mark 1 1.6 had the same diff as the 1.8 AFAIK...
