Hi everyone,

I'd like to make a survey:

- if emissions and fuel consumption were a main concern,
- if our Roadsters would have to comply with, let's say, euro 5-6 regulations,
- and assuming that you could adapt a RWD gearbox to the engine,

Which engine, and from which very recent car (brand and model), would you chose for your Raodster?

Thanks.

For budget range I'd go for either a Renault Clio 197 or a Ford Fiesta St
If budget/technicalities/physicalities were no option then I'd go for A Nissan GTR

I'd have to go for one of the Ford Ecoboost engines Sylvain. Probably a 1.6 version although the smaller capacity ones do seem very attractive at higher power outputs

We have an ex-student who test drives for Bentley, and he called in with a W12 last week, it was wicked.

I was stood in a workshop of a famous rally team last week. They had 4 Continental GT "GT3" Cars in various stages of prep work ;)

That engine appears in one of the VW saloons - in fact I think it is the Bentley with a VW body - that should break a lot cheaper than a Bentley though
