Some friends of mine have put an Audi 4.2l V8 into a Haynes chassis. Mated to a Volvo M90 gearbox.

Wow. That looks like a bit of a handful. Looked like a rocket in the first few seconds pulling away from the car.

AFAIK they have not weighed it, but they don't expect it to be light :-)
