How much clearance is under the bonnet of a roadster0
I'm trial fitted my mazda lump and I got a measurement of 230mm from the top chassis rail to the top of the engine

i can measure the engine later for you but basically there is very little clearance on mine, i am using the mk2 1.8 engine, the sump hangs 40mm below the chassis. i am using a saturn large bulge bonnet, engine is over to the side very slightly as well and the throttle cable bracket rotated 180 degrees.
you would be lucky to get your fingers between the bonnet and rocker cover

It depends which body kit you chose. Equinox were the ones offering the highest under-bonnet clearance to my knowledge (main reason why I chose to buy my body kit from them)

If you use GRP side panels, you can also add 3-4mm of side panels tab thickness over the top tubes of your chassis.

You can also check with Vmax how high is the bonnet of his new body kit?

Hope that help :)

I used Equinox bonnet with the scoop the only problem I had with clearance was the scoop projects down inside and fouled the cam cover so you really need to position the engine to clear it, I cut that part out and moved it forward apart from that it cleared everything fine.
