Any local around birmingham who would be able to bend my roll bar a bit more

After cutting it down I can clearly see it hasn't been bent enough

Well I've just double checked the bends and they are both just under 80 degrees
79.8 and 79.7 so I'm happy with that
So if I line up one side in the correct position it looks like the 2nd bend has been bent at the wrong position on the tube

That's annoying!I guess you can split the difference and mount it slightly outboard on both sides - can't see it making loads of difference?

Just cut the legs down a few mill and that will start to bring everything back into line.

It's already cut down to book spec so don't want to go any lower

It's the same on both sides
The guy I spoke to today said why not just weld it as it is?
Personally I don't see a problem with doing that it's just annoying that it's not centre to the four fixings
Anyone see a problem if I had it welded as it is then?

Don't think I would want to weld stress into it, also would make it a nightmare to bolt it up, but would be better wider as it gives you more protection, just think about when you fit your side panels as the may need cutting around the bar

To be entirely honest - that's the kind of detail that would p*ss me off massively!!! So I feel your pain! Rosco makes a good point though = marginally wider = marginally more protection... That's how i'd be selling it to myself :D

Not to bad a job considering the tube was already bent
And I think it looks better now

Yes I'm a bit happier now lol
While I'm on the subject of my roll bar
The two diagonal pieces that go to the rear tube do they have to have two bolts or is one enough as per the book

I believe some have passed with one bolt but iva appears to want two now so I for one have modified to be able to fit two to be on the safe side!!

That's exactly what I'm going to do
I'm just mocking up some templates to suit
