steering rack

hi all
is it possible to use an mk5 escort with cortina hubs

I don't know if the racks are both fore or aft of the centreline of the hubs.

If you get it wrong then you have back to front steering ( although I am not sure the IVA manual actually states what has to be correct ???? )
