hi guys,

When you mounted your front wings, did you have a measurement or point of reference to the rotation position on your front wings. How far they rotate back etc??

Hi if you look at the IVA regs, there are measurements to tell you how far the wings must cover the wheels back and front.
Regards Mick.

Hi,

I have found that, was just interested if anyone had used a point, chassis side member etc as their reference.

I haven't got that far myself, but would have assumed you'd do it off a vertical line through the centre of the hub? I.e. a spirit level or similar?

Hi ya, yeah after I lined up and measured the angles etc, seems a good position is to have the rear edge sitting on the center line of the hub.

Might be worth a search on here (or Locostbuilders) for comments about mudflaps - i have seen a lot of comments in the past about the front wheels throwing up stones - which then hit the rear arches. I think this is why a lot of people fit metal arch guards onto their rear wheel arches.

Given the IVA requirements you might not be able to rotate the front wings back far enough to solve this problem, but I think it's something worth thinking about.
