Securing the brake pipe intervals

Hi
Any one know as what the distance of the brake pipe fasteners should be? The book says 50mm which I think is a bit OTT! The IVA manual states "safe & secure".

I went 100mm in transimssion tunnel & 200mm everywhere else.
