Not impressed, went to local scrappy today and cant believe the cars in there.
there was an mgb that looked like it just needed a wash and a couple of half decent minis
ive restored worse cars than these i was in formed by the crowd taking bits from the mgb its the scrappage scheme
appears the govt are getting what they want then perfectly good or restorable classics off the road
soon there wont be any left
still on a happier note got a mastercylinder from a sierra while i was there
last time i asked about sierras they laughed see my other post in donor cars for details

A few 'classics' were always going to be casualties of the drive to kick start car sales, though it is the taxation of company cars that has really killed cars sales in the 21st century. However if the an MGB is in reasonable nick then it would be worth more than the scrappage value so I doubt many good classics will go this way, there just the ones we hear about. How many people would bother to report the scrapping of a Rover 400 of Vauxhall Vectra?
Good to see you got the parts you needed though....
