Evening all

SWMBO and I were bored at work (yes we work in the same office  ) and got to thinking about the next holiday.

She has always wanted to see Manta Rays and Whale Sharks (I've been there, done that - 3 years teaching diving ;)) and one of the best places in the world to see them is Mozambique.

We are set on going there, but once in that part of the world it would be rude not to go on safari for a few days.

What I am after is recommendations from anyone that has been on Safari in that neck of the woods (Tanzania, Kenya, Moz itself etc.)

Word of mouth is better than what any website can tell you

Evening Sean,

I was in Kenya with the Army for 6 months back in 92 and we lived in the Abadar national park for 3 weeks at a time, building bridges. Going down to site was like a little safari every morning. It was a long time ago I was a 19 year old Army scrote living the dream. I remember Tusker beer, really friendly people and getting a weeks washing for 6 blokes done for 50p!

I am sure things have changed in the past 17 years but it was great back then and probably still is. Ahhhh the Tree Tops country club at Mawager it’s all flooding back, good times.
