Lying in bed enjoying a cuppa and suddenly no power. All the village knocked out, ah well time for plan "B", out to the garage drag out the generator and extension lead and got the kettle on again, some light and put the tele on . Oh how everyone at the pub laughed when I said I had bought a gererator, what you gonna use that for. Shame the power was only out for a couple of hours.
Merry Crimbo to All:D :D

Rich,
The very same thing happened to me, although not at Christmas.
Everyone thought I was bonkers for getting a generator for £500 in the civilised world. We had a power cut on camp and the married estate. I set the geny up to power the fridge freezer, kettle and the sky. Six hours later who was laughing as it was dark and cold (electric heater and lights now up and running) with people coming around to put stuff in our freezer.
I dined out on that day for years.
Cheers Ginge
