The local post office want let our post men deliver in these condition, but my mate pick mine up when he went into work and delivered them last night (he works behind the post office counter).

Three where bill's and nine was junk mail.

I'm waiting for some steel plate, my suspension brackets and some cutting discs + flap discs. We haven't had any post for at least 3 days and i have no idea when the bin was last emptied.... Although that is royal fail, ups and another courier that are supposed to be delivering my stuff.

As a former postman I feel I have to say some thing here.
1.If royal mail let the posties out in the snow and they hurt them selfs a broken any thing takes a good 3 months to heal let alone work with
2. if theres a blame there's a claim and if your in FULL uniform including the joke foot wear royal mail are to blame and it will cost them
3. if it takes a postie 5 hrs to do a 3 hr job it'll cost more in over time
4.like you say it's only bills that you get every day how many birthdays and christmas's do you have a year?
5.all mail comes from a main depot to a delivery office and thats done in 7.5t trucks which don't like snow
6.seen the roads and paths latly? would you want to ride a 35kg bike with 16kg in the front and 30kg over the back wheel, even posties that walk their round are carring 16kg and have another 6-10 bags to do. A high cap red trolly goes 110kg when full
7.tomorrow is another day and if you can't get to work neither can any body else!
There rant over.

Well said.

Our postie broke her wrist earlier this year falling off her bike riding over on wet leaves and was off for a couple of months. Side roads round here are completely lethal (I know it's the soft south) and even the ambulances are having problems - they moved someone local from their house to a more major road on a kid's sledge yesterday.

This was not meant as any critasizum of the Posties, just a general enquirey as to how many others are affected by the weather.
