Hi,

I've got a couple of compressors that have been lying around for a while ( 2 years actually) and I need to change the oil. Does anyone have any ideas. They are models 501 and 15.

Cheers

Peter

SAE40 compressor oil ;)

Assuming that it is a piston type compessor

Like this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SIP-ADVANCED-FORMULA-TRADE-COMPRESSOR-OIL-5-LITRE-5L_W0QQitemZ400040499772QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Air_ Tools_and_Compressors?hash=item5d24459a3c)

If it is the rotary vane type compressor you'll need something like Rotary compressor oil ;)

Me too paul :)

I worked for Compair Holman in the manufacture of the large industrial compressors.
By the time I joined the company, they had stopped production of the industrial Hydrovane compressors at our factory

Boy .... Have I missed that place since it closed down .... Roadster would have been completed ages ago & for not a lot :D

Service engineer for plant hire company for 18 months, used to repair Rilco rammers (Jumpy Jacks )what fun they were/not.
We had hundreds of single/two tool machines hired out to gas/water board so you can imagine the hassle.

Happy days
