Just casual bystander showing someone else how to do it Ash as my shoulder shot....sprayed gel coat gives some groovy affects though if you go against the rules:cool:
Hey Les there is a bigger butt sized one that floats 18 stone
No wheels means no nasty petrol and even better still no nasty IVA to worry about, just a few waves and chill out and get soaking wet...

Nice one Mark, bring it up to the North East and i'll attach one of my kites to it. Should be a blast.
Single Seater sofar, bit more finishing off to do though but nearly there.

looks like a much more simple build than the roadster.

Just watch out, you may go missing at sea and you family will have to claim insurance... If that does happen, don't get anyone to take tourist snaps of you in South America...

Hey Andy
That single seater is looking a lot different than the last time I saw the plug
Are you going to widen the rear track a little :D :D
Looking great .... Very much looking forward to Chris's new book :)

Funnily enough TT i grew up in Seaton Carew 200yds from where the last one went missing in his canoe....We could disappear off to Australia claim loads of compo and build cars over there.......Look what you've started Mark.....:)
You're right i think Ronnie, a longer metal rod at the rear should do the job

I got to say Andy .... The bodywork is looking brilliant .... That picture has certainly got my build fingers twitching :)
Must ask .... How many times a day do you have to drag HandyAndy out of that !!?? :D :D Brum .... Brumm ....Brummm
I remember HandyAndy's dilema when he first got the build bug .... Single seater or Roadster !! ..... Got your wish mate .... Building both ;)

Ronnie,
I have decided that when my Roadster is finished I WILL be building a single seater too  :)
The single seater does look smart indeed, With the work that Fabby did on it & the amount of man hours Spud has put into it, its an amazing amount of man hours gone into making it.

The ski is sprayed gel coat, three colours done any old how using spray gel it's then filled with two part foam and what a giggle they are to use. I took one out last Sunday(yes it was a tad cold) for half an hour and it's now Wednesday night and I'm still suffering as they are hard very hard on yer shoulders.... Never learn me!!!
When is the grand unveiling Andy? Hope I was at least somewhere near with what Chris wanted shape wise?
As for water things...as it happens I like a complete goon bought a mould to make a 16ft long canadian style open canoe so once shoulder fixed I will be making them along with a 14ft sea kayak.
Might, just might have a shot at making that mad car I made moulds for....but it will be for me rather than trying to make a living out of cars again.
3 wheels, bike motor and a full grp monoque tub with a few bits of metal to hold springy bits on..or might just flog the moulds....I dunno yet:o

Chris is well chuffed with the shape Mark, i've changed a few things - rounded nose instead of flat fronted and a few other subtle things. I've had too much to do the last 2 weeks but the molds will have their final buffing and castings made over the next few days - should be it..........:)
If you ever fancy a trip to Hartlepool, wouldn't mind a go of the ski and i'll get my kiting gear out aswell - been a few months now.

What uprights/steering rack will it be using???
A shopping list would be great :) people could potentially buy before items before the book comes out, so we can all prepare.
I've got engine (zzr1100), chain drive (with reverse), wheels, uprights (if they are the right kind), cinq or sciento steering rack + column (something i have lying about unsure which one!!!), steel, just brought a steering wheel and welder at the ready!!!!!
I can not believe we have to wait sooo long for the book.

its not that long when you think about it. in a year and a half chris has designed a whole car, built it and wrote a book about it all from his imagination. most people take 2 years to build the roadster from the book!!
i believe it will have a cinq steering column and some ford uprights buts thats it at the mo

We are holding it up a little bit now Mark, things are just too busy at the mo. Will be back onto it next week though with only some slight mods to do and then the final casting to do. Should be done end of next week.
Have seen some pics of Chris's car and its looking fantastic, he has done some exceptional design and engineering work.
Wont be Long.....AndyH
