ITS RUNNING, at last... after 2 weekend of trouble shooting, i got it running 10 min ago.. i wasnt expecting it to start, and was inside my garage with the door shut, and then i got it running. Now to get the rad connected and the fuel tank on, and hopefully it'll be all done probably this weekend. I may even take it out for a quick drive on my road... if i get the steering back in as well. ahhh.. it feels good...

I really should thank you for the help in the other thread:) ;) .. it was 2 things, firstly, the hybrid ignition wasn't grounded.. i cant believe i missed it. secondly, rather than cleaning up the old plugs, i got some new one from halfords for £4.60 and that seems to have also done the trick. ive only got it running for about 20 sec, as i dont have a rad on right now. at the moment there are a few connections just twisted together, so ill solder up the connections and get the loom in and fitted as well. :D :D Will hopefully get a vid up this weekend. I cant wait to take it out for a quick drive.. even without bodywork or shocks.

Well done,

bet it feels great to hear it going.

Hoping to get my running this week, no hybrid to contend with though so hopefully should go first time (hopefully, fingers crossed etc etc etc)

Not wired that in yet.

Going for it with just the edis for the time being.

If it starts and runs i'll be a happy chappy:D

Mine fired up instantly on the first try with just the edis and spat plenty of flames out of the exhaust ports :D

Then wiring the megajolt in is easy after you know the edis is working

Hoping mine will start first time, can't see why not.

I'll have to have a session reading up on the jolt before i tackle that. I've got a cvh map, just need to get it on the jolt???? Worry about that later.:D

Another well done from me Geeman

I love the way you appear to leg it away from the exhaust smoke in the vid :D :D

Some good progress being made there :)

it was the first start with the fuel from the tank and without the vapour separator. The engine seems to start better without the fuel vapour operator, although, there is still alot of smoke. The alu floor is covered in black soot from the exhaust!!

I also seem to have tempered the alu floor as its turned slightly blue now from the heat
