Bloody member on Locost had a S/S manifold for sale on Ebay.
It didn't sell. £120
(Collection only)

I emailed him asking if I could buy it when I got back to the UK,
in a couple of weeks time.
He wrote back, saying OK, no probs.

Anyway a couple of days later I noticed it was back on Ebay.
Now with postage £20
So I wrote to him again saying, now you got postage I'll have it now.
Just noticed this morning, he left it on Ebay.
It sold for £117........

Well thanks mate !!!!!!!!

No sense of community spirit with that member then

I guess, just desperate to get their hands on some cash ;)

You can console youself with the fact that they ended up with less than you would have paid.
Even worse .... It may have been bought by one of those buyers from hell & end up with a charge back :D :D

I hope so....

I don't think I'm being unreasonable to complain.
When I said I'll have it, then the T****er
sells it to someone else

I always offer a deposit if I am buying, and normaly request one when selling.

I have had countless experiences of people asking for something and never turning up or never hearing from them again.

I had one guy pester me for a gearbox, I spent hours removing the engine and box and he said he would collect.. But never did.
