I saw a poorly spelt (That's people on the internet for you  ) Ebay auction for a ZX6R wiring loom. All I want is a TPS plug, but don't want to pay a dealer a tonne of money for one.

So I got it for 99p (£3.50 shipping) :D It arrives today and the shipping cost him £7.40  plus he's left the horn, relays and a speedo sensor on the loom. Awesome, I'll sell those back on Ebay and maybe even make some money!

I needed the same connector but couldnt get hold of one

Thats a bargain handyandy will be proud :D

I ended up making one in the end, i put spade connectors on the terminals and coated the inside with grease as a releasing agent, then i filled it with milliput. Once it was dry and i managed to get out bobs your uncle a plug that fits perfectly.

Milliput if anyone doesnt know has the properties of plasticine when mixed but once it cures it goes rock hard and can be drilled, sawn, tapped, filed etc its wonderful stuff, its waterproof too

I think, these may fit the zx6r tps - http://www.dataspares.com/acatalog/C106.html

I haven't ordered one myself yet, but I am planning to. I emailed dataspares with the pin and housing sizes and they seemed to match so looks worth a try.

Cheers

Total cost including shipping and VAT is £13.91 from dataspares.com. I personally think that's too much for a single plug.

That is due to the shipping being £8 but apart from attacking a scrap loom I've been unable to find any other source of new connectors. Having had a few problems with 'bodged' on connectors before I would rather have the piece of mind that everything will work reliable.

I think you could get some new ones off Ebay for around £2 Each. Its all a bit unknown, but looking at the connector off the bike loom last night, these have the same inner and look like a reasonable fit.
