Hay guys im looking to get a good size tool cab and topbox for around 800quid ish any ideas on the best brand for that type of cash?
Was thinking snapon but the cost is huge just for a cab. Clarke was my 2nd option as they seem far more in my price range.
Any ideas welcome!
Thanks

I got myself a clarke premium set a while ago and its very good, however, have a look in Halfrauds and their Pro range looks very good if not better than the clarke, PLUS at the moment they have a special where if you buy the chest you get the topbox included and it comes with the liners whereas the clarke doesn't. AND, Halfrauds Pro gear has a lifetime warranty!!!!
Hope that helps.....AndyH

Got some Clarke HD Plus chests on a vat free day from Machinemart some years ago and retired my two, twenty year old cantilever tool boxes. I understand that once you buy from them and are on their mailing list you get invited to a vat free day every three months or so. Otherwise find a mate who already gets invited and piggy back on his invatation.
The cabinets seem to be lasting well, no problems at all, so I would recommend them.
I think we all know and appreciate SnapOn's quality but unless I was earning my living from my tools I can't really see that the cost can be justified.
Even with less than half your budget you'll get something pretty well toward the top of the range.
Don't forget to save some money to buy the bits to build the car though! :D :)

Thanks for all the replys Think it will be clarke then! The black and gold ones look the bomb so will probably go for that range.

Snap On quality has gone down the pan,I have a lot of money in tools and I mean a lot .I have been in the trade since 1971 so you can all imagine the kit I have gained over the years.
In all honesty the quality has really dropped and masses of stuff are made in China and utter crap but the price does not go down.
