Can anyone tell me what the limits for the height of the crossbar on the roll bar are to conform to the required seatbelt mounting height?

I've found the directive referred to in the IVA manual here (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CONSLEG:1976L0115:20051020:EN:PD F) but at the moment it's not making a lot of sense to me.

The base of my seats are currently more or less on the floor, but I want to leave a bit of leeway as I'm not sure I'm going to be able to see over the scuttle

Thanks
Matt

Section 19 of the M1 IVA manual is what you need and I think that link is to the actual law and not very helpfull.

It also depends on your seats, and how tall you are as they must be above shoulder height.

Thanks for the reference back to the IVA manual, but that was where I started. All I could find in Section 19 is

Note3:Seat belt anchorage points must comply with the strength and location requirements of Directive 76/115 EEC, or to an equivalent safety standard...

I worked through the directive, and as far as I can tell the upper mounts have to be between 543 and 1003mm from the base of the seat. That means the standard position of 100mm up on the roll bar is well within the allowed range with the seats I'm using, and will still be OK even if if I raise them by 20-30mm or so
