I have been experimenting over the last two weeks with mythtv, it's a free media center for linux.
Using a free PC, a £10 ebay tuner card got me to the stage of being able to record tv, store it, watch live tv , rip cd's ...
Using a laptop with the "frontend" system I can now listen to music, watch digital tv and recorded tv from anywhere in wireless range.
I can now watch stuff at my leisure.
will be recording "mark evans a car is born" the show that rekindled my interest in 7's.
I am using mythbuntu for my backend and frontend.
it's gr8... just need to get DVD ripping sorted and we can get all the disks put in the loft!
