I just bought an unused 3853 for £30 . I no it's not ideal but for that money I am hoping it will do the job.

Anyone else with an Acewell?

What's the best way to fit the speed sensor?

Well you have to factor in postage too. Unfortunatly it does come with the loom as well so I won't be able to make up my own custom fittings..

Adding postage, it actually costing £34.

The box is a bit battered though.

Hi TT, i have an acewell 3250, speedo and tacho are accurate. temp not far out but fuel gauge bit iffy. My sensor is mounted on the back of the g/box and magnet on the front U/J flange. if you need any info Google acewell 3853 and you will find all you need inc wiring diagram, looks the same as mine.

As above my Acewell has the speedo senor hanging off the back oft he gearbox, secured on a bracket through the back hole on the gearstick surround. Magnet is glued to the prop fork that comes out the back of the box.
