Yup! Defo a FWD fanimold. Could possibly be altered/adapted to suit a RWD layout but looks like more work than making one from scratch.

good point TT, early 1.6 Zetecs had exhaust at front as do the 1.8 and 2.0 litre units but the later 1.25, 1.4 and 1.6 S and SE versions (alloy block built in conjunction with one of the Jap bike companies I think) had inlet at front and exhaust to the rear. A bit of a conundrum:confused: .

Yep, AFAIK Yamaha helped Ford during the development of the Zeta (Zetec E) engine, and Sigma (Zetec S) is a Yamaha design throughout.

Wish i'd seen this a year ago, it looks ideal for the roadster Zetec exiting straight out the side of the engine bay - height and offset from engine looks about right to. And for £75 in s/s is bloody good value to. Anyone fitting Zetec then grab his hand off.

But yes you're right the stock manifolds exit from the front and tuck underneath. The stock Focus ST170 is a good full flow exhaust to use with the bottom section 2-1 shortened and turned to exit to the side of the roadster. You won't get one that cheap though.

That ebay jobbie on a zetec will indeed punch straight out the side of a roadster. Although it looks a bit long to be honest, may stick out to far.

I may dig that ST manifold out and see how much its worth...

Yes it maybe close Steve, just measured and you have 320mm from the centre of the flange to the side panel just where you would need to fit a bend.

Maybe worth asking the question for distance to outlet.

Looks like Zetec E to me judging by the bolt patern.
Guess it's designed to come out the side panel then turn down the side to the muffler.
