If you don't ask you don't get, isn't that the saying.....

... Anybody got a bit of 16mm aluminium round tube laying around that would be long enough to make a hose joiner and they would post for very few beer tokens? Before I visit evil bay.

Got a bunch of ali tube, in 2 diameters, but not sure what they are off hand.

Will check tonight - how long do you need if it turns out (by some fluke) to be 16mm?

household copper tubing is 15mm, if your stuck you could use some of that as a temporary fix.

Said copper tube with a coupling soldered on comes even closer to 16mm. I've used it extensively in cooling systems with no trouble.
