Hi guys im looking at different engine options over here in kiwiland, as the sierra is pretty thin on the ground here, so was looking at the Mitsubishi 4G63 and 5 speed box in RWD format,.
Has anyone over in England or further used this engine/box combo.
Diff combo im using is either a Subrau, or a Nissan Skyline ( cheap as over here )

Skyline or 200sx would be a good choice for diff & driveshafts, as the rear wheel bearing is mounted in a housing, similar to the Sierra, so the rear uprights could be adapted to to suit with little effort. Rear track on the Skyline isn't too far apart either.

Kind regards

John

I have built a roadster with a skyline R200 diff and hubs, axles etc. They all fitted well, but they were very heavy.. diff is 45 kgs on its own... I have subsequently replaced them with a wrx rear diff (22kgs), legacy axles and bolt on hubs from a later model legacy... total weight saving over 30 kgs all up. The legacy hubs are a lighter version of the nissan ones. The axles and cv's are much lighter and also have a better design. The rear track is almost identical to the nissan...
