Ouch that feckin' hurt!

While working on a motorhome this morning I stepped out from under the part raised lift (dived under to adjust the jacking beam:confused: ) and stood up too early so I slammed my upper back into the underside of the lift platform (its an 8 Tonne four poster and doesn't say sorry:( ) hard enough to knock the crap out of myself, I hit the floor like the proverbial sack of wet sh1te!

Once I'd got my wind back I carried on like all true professional eejits do. Been home a couple of hours now and had a nice hot bath but its hurting like a bitch now, I appear to have bruised two vertebrae right between my shoulder blades:( :( and its bloody sore right now, thank god for old speckled hen!

My usual one is to smack my head on the engien crane, usualy when I have been welding and have the mask on...

That makes my in-growing toe nail seem alot better. Glad to see I'm not the only one who ends up hurting him self while having a welding lid on his bonce. My usual trick is to forget that the build table as 6 legs not 4 and boot the middle pair. Workshop has half empty boxes of pain killers and anti inflams every where.

Cheers guys, a bit of sympathy goes a long way:D . One of my "better" accidents was while working at ABRO, refitting an engine to a self propelled gun (9 Tonnes and 9 metres long), I jumped up from lying on the ground to fit a lower engine mount bolt and slammed my head into the barrel which was at about 5'8" from the floor where I hit it, I'm 6' so it was a 4" interference fit ! Fella sat on other end of said gun, 9 metres away said he felt the impact shudder through the gun:eek: .

Anyway, today's clusterfook is receding thanks to a few cans of OSH but I fear it may hurt in the morning:( .

Spud, can you get some padding for your passenger seat for Saturday please;) ?

So am i Davey, it's always fun. Hope you're okay though. Being 6'7" i am always having similar knocks but more so to my heed, not as much as i used to but it can still bloody hurt.

Not too bad today, bit sore but that's about it. looking forward to Thursday evening for the headshave, my hair hasn't been cut for about five months and its doing my head in. Then friday we drive up to friends in Thirsk and then up to Saturn on Saturday. From there on in its a mystery tour:D .
