I hope you don,t mind me posting this but I,d just like to say how proud we ( me & Sue ) are of our young lad,

Callum, our 13yr old has done himself proud this year & made us very proud too.............

He joined a proper "Sunday league" football team last year & he has been presented with the award " Managers Player of the Season", from amongst a very strong squad :)
He also plays football for his school team & at the end of school years awards was awarded " Player of the Year" for his age group for the second year running :)

BUT
The icing on the cake ............

He has just received his certificate to confirm that he has passed 2 ( yes 2) GCSE exams in ICT ( computers), & he got both awards with distinction....................................... .................................................. ..And he,s only just turned 13 yrs old :)

We,re both very proud of his achievements, Sue says he gets his brains from her :D

Like I said " I hope you don,t mind me posting this" but its something that we feel very pleased about indeed.

cheers

Well Done Andy, you sound like you are well chuffed.

Must be the ride out in the car he had last year, certainly got the hormones pumping.....;)

They are worth it at times......AndyH

Cheers Twin, Spud & Flyerncle

he might be clever at the school stuff

But he,s a clumsy "Oaf", I,m sure he,s Mr Beans son...... fell off a swing on tuesday.... sprained his wrist so now in a sling, last week on his paper round he ran into a wall whilst riding his bike :D

We,re pleased with him as, being honest, other lads that live around us & go to his school sometimes give him a hard time for doing well at school etc so its nice to see that he rises above the micky taking , & we,re pleased that even tho he is Football mad, he,s still doing well on his academic lessons.

thanks guys:)
maybe he,ll be able to help install the megajolt computer gizmo in my Roadster when the time comes:cool: modern technology passed me by :D

cheers

Excelent... With Two GCSE's in th bag already at 13 he's doing well.

Good also that the school has supported the accelertated learning.

Other lads may mock him, but he will have his studdies out of the way and be getting on with life.

I will have you know that this "Mr Bean" although a complete Knobhead most of the time is in no way clumsy and I have never been to "monkey hanger town" so nowt to do with me.:p

Good on yer lad but I suggest you take him to one side and point out the error of his ways....Football...NOOOOO:eek: :D

By eck, he'll be moving to Cheshire and buying a Bentley before you know it:)
Sounds like the young man is a credit to you both.
Best and all that,
Enoch

cheers guys :)

Fabby........ I totally forgot about the "Bean" connection :D
I did try to get him interested in motorbikes, but having seen what he,s like on a push bike maybe Footie is the safest thing, I can only imagine the carnage he,d create riding a bike with an engine

Enoch...... cheers , we,re very pleased to say the least, as for moving to Cheshire......well he supports Man Utd so maybe one day :D

TT....... Yes , its great that his school are pushing the accelerated learning in pupils they believe can cope with it, His ICT teacher reckons he,ll have "A" levels in the subject before leaving secondary school.

thanks for all your kind words.
cheers

If Callum was to play rugby, he,d only be good as one of the posts, he,s tall n skinny at 5ft 7in, 1 tough rugby tackle & he,d be in A&E lol
cheers Les.

Well done callum, i'm sure he'll be fine with the megajolt :D

Just a note though, anything's better than football... :p Only kidding, if that's what he enjoys, that's fine. The world would be a boring place if we all did the same thing.
