Hi, I'm using a Clio rad, and already routed the hose up over the chassis rails but I think it's too high as water doesn't circulate.
If you could take a pic that would be great :)

I,m using a Polo rad, so not sure what the inlet/outlet positions are on a clio rad, but I,ll take some pics in the morning & post up on here.
May i ask, what have you done with the heater hose connections? have you looped them in the return flow direction? just trying to work out why yours isn,t circulating etc.

Hi Andy, Ive looped the heater hose from the auto choke to the tee with the bottom hose connection on the L/H side of the engine, if that makes sense. The water flows through this pipe fine, but not through the rad

Yep, makes sense as thats how I did mine too :)
hmmm , no idea why its not flowing thru the rad either
I,ll post the pics tomorrow, see if that helps in some little way.

Andy, I've got a polo rad, but it's totally bare, any chance you could get a few pics of yours, uncluding the thermostat housing

Have you checked that your therostat opens?
Have you checked for airlocks?

I hope the pics help, this I,m sure isn,t the only way to route the hoses , but how I did mine :)
Please excuse the various wires in the photos, I was doing some wiring when I took the pics.

Ah, what I thought was where the thermostat would go on my Polo Rad, is actually where the fan temperature switch goes:) Got to love the internet.

Hi Andy, Thanks for the pics. I have done my top hose pretty much the same, but have tee'd in the pipe that should go to the expansion tank. Where you have placed the tank looks much better. Am I correct in thinking the outlet from the expansion tank joins the Tee that connects to the engine block and auto choke? Your bottom hose route appears similar to mine, but where does the other end of the pipework go, I cant see in the pics. Does it connect to the steel pipe leading into the engine block?
Thanks again for this, off out now to re mount my expansion tank:)

no prob, glad the pics help.
The bottom outlet of the expansion tank is connected to the "T" piece that is then connected to the water pump elbow on the passenger side of engine, the top "overflow" point at the expansion tank is connected to the auto choke/thermostat housing.
I,ll get some more clearer pics today & post them up.

Hi, cheers Andy. Ive got the expansion tank thing clear now, just curious the path the lower radiator hose takes. Im thinking it connects to the water pump pipe?
I'll post a couple of pics later of my current set up that doesnt work!

Pics of hose route to bottom of radiator. Water won't pass through the long horizontal pipe..could it be an air lock causing this?
