Evening, i have a mk2 golf gti steering rack, the distance between the inter ball joints is 533 mm the same as in the manual. I'm not sure what the ratio is yet. i was just wondering if anybody has tried it ,or knows if it might work.:D

HoHoHo...
Sorry  ..
I need to actually check the IVA manual, but I think the car may fail if you turn the wheel anticlockwise and the car goes right and vice versa..
The golf mounts behind the stearing pivots, so operates the otherway to a escort MK2

You could use a LHD one and flip it upside down.

I'm seriously tempted to hunt for some English Golf II racks at the breakers. It's quite common here to bring cars from the UK just for parts, as RHD cars cannot be registered here according to the regulations. Although I've heard the EU is shunning these restrictions and they may be repealed.

alga, I can ask if the company from I got my Escort mk II rack can still supply one. I paid €96 for mine at summer.
The transportation wouldn't also problem as my company has a branch in Vilnius and we send almost daily stuff there. If you're interested then please let me know.

That would be awesome! I thought of asking you to get one for me, but thought that sending it down here would be a problem.
