for those of you like myself who have made rear wishbones and then found out they are 10mm too short !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks Chris G>>>>..... not happy now then how do you shorten the drive shaft i have brand new ones and i am not cutting them no way a bodge job want it to look good too. I supose i will have to remake the wishbones what a waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you made the rear uprights yet?

If not, just add 10mm to the 5" tube length, so that RU7 & 8 are further away from the pivot points.

Hopefully that makes perfect sense :D

yes uprights done too i supose a 10mm extra plate could be fitted ?

I was just thinking a 10mm plate may do the job.

Same happened to me with my first car. My solution was to add an exta RU7 then weld RU8 to it (or an extra RU8 if you've already welded up the upright), adding 10mm to either side. Car has now done 10k and the back end handles exceptionally well.

this is what i have dicided to do only my hub was made from a solid 5" bar bored out and a verry nice pice of kit !!!!!
