In another thread earlier this week a few of you were asking when my car will be finished. I am hoping to have all the work completed by the weekend.
Hopefully I will have dvla & iva out of the way by the end of September.
I have offered my car to 3ge to display on their stand at the Exeter show in October. If any of you are going to be there come and have a chat. It will be good to meet some of you face to face.
See you then.

You,d have your IVA paid for straight away if they "paid by the kilo Les" :p .......me.......I,d have to wait till whatever they took off had grown again, & sell it again :D
I daren,t tell swmbo "how much it will cost to get on the road", IVA, reg fee, insurance, tax & fuel money to get there & back ....gulp.

:D  I best keep what I,ve got then LOL,
If my car has passed the IVA in time then I might try & get down to the show in my Roadster, & visit a few friends whilst I,m down there.
My target is to have it on the road in time for my next birthday in November:) only 5 months behind schedule, which will be 19 months build time in total.

I,m in a similar position to Gus , I reckon if I put in 3 solid weeks worth of work on the car it,ll be ready for its test,
not alot left to do to be honest, 3 weeks is maybe me being too generous but then I don,t feel I,m being pressured if I give it more time that it actually needs.
If its passed & on the road in time for the show I,ll try to get there.....gulp...thats nigh on 500 miles each way

If they paid by the Inch (height you dirty buggers) i'd be able to pay for all of us. Too far for us to justify going though - 1000 mile round trip  thats £400 just for fuel for 2 vehicles then everything else to pay.
Shame......AndyH

After spending £94 on a drag link for my jeep's MOT  I'll have to be content with a good ole home made cheese roll & a cuppa from me flask :D :D

I am down just outside exeter. Not raining at the moment, touch wood for the rest of the night and tomorrow.
Had an uneventful 6 hour drive, some parking on the M6 and M5 motorways ( I must be bonkers!) See you all at the show tomorrow.
Adrian
Just got back from the show, it was great to see Ash, Adrian, Gus, Chris Gibbs, Bonzo and John on the 3GE stand.
Gus's car is a work of art, it looked great on the stand, also found the ashg's & adrian's Roadster in the carpark that both stand out from the rest.
Picked up a stainless exhaust backbox to match the one I already have (twin exhaust on my car) and a pair of padded leather bucket seat as a show deal. It was a bit tight in the car on the way back!:)

I arrived home fresh from Exeter show early yesterday evening & was well fed n watered when I got home.
Well worth the visit just to see Gus's completed Roaster .... They say that a photo doesn't lie but it does .... The finished Roadster looks so much better, looking at it for real
A very big well done Gus, the build is a real credit to the attention to detail that you have paid to each & every aspect of your project :)
Fantastic to catch up with some familliar faces & great to meet up for the first time with some new ones .... Really pleased to meet with so many of my fellow, West country builders
Sorry I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to you Ash :o I dare say that we will do it all again at Stoneliegh next year mate.
