Hi all.
My name is Tiago, i'm 24yo and i'm an automotive engineer student. I knew about this locost/haynes roadster thing just about 3 or 4 months ago and i started my build on the Aug 10 2010.
I'm really excited about it. My Roadster will be roadlegal and i've 2 engines that i still need to decided between. Zx9r or carbed R1...
I've all the parts from the sierra donnor and i'm looking for the shocks now. if someone know where to get a good deal please let me know.
Another thing that i'm planing to do is the front wings, rear arches and nose cone in carbon fiber. At the university we have a nice composites lab. The bonnet, boot and side panels will be kawasaky green.
Well there is enough talking for now. Let's see some pics

Ok i guess some people will probably say that there is too much wood there. Lolol well it's because it's beeing TIG welded and i want my chassis as straight as possible.
Hope you like it and i'll keep updating it.

Thanks
Tiago

P.s sorry for my english

Hello Tiago,

welcome to the forum.
If you are going to make the bodywork yourself, you can have my CAD-files of the parts. If you're interested, send me an e-mail.

No doubt you'll find this forum a more than valuable place to visit.
Good luck with your build.

I need to create a Blog with my intire picture colection but i'm without time for now.

Just to have an idea what's the usual building accuracy in mm for home builds?

Thanks

Tiago

Hi Tiago, looking good. Is it easy to get the materials in Portugal? Which part of the country are you in?

Well it's easy to get almost everything here. i just had a hard time finding the 33,7x2,6mm tube bc it's called mechanical tube and there is just one place here that sells it. I had to order a complete set of ball joints from England bc i couldn't find the Maxi ones here. My town is Aveiro close to the north.

Hi all.
Sorry for being away for a while but my school it's a bit far from home and i've almost no time to come here and update the pictures.
I created a facebook Photo album and i've there some pictures of the actual progress.
Hope you like it and it's being a great experience doing that.
