A couple of quick questions

On the Pinto, is the blocked off stub on the thermostat the highest point of the cooling system? I am just planning where to mount my header tank (prob around the scuttle) and want to ensure it is high enough to keep the system full.

Second question. I plan on routing the crankcase breathers to a seperate catch tank. Does it matter what elevation the catch tank is it. My head says no - so was thinking of mounting it on the end of the passenger footwell.

For cooling/water any point above the rocker cover bottom lip is above the water in the head, I have a Westfield breather T in the 16mm hose from water pump to inlet manifold and make sure it is at the highest point.

The breather/catch tank should have the hoses entering higher than the top of the rocker cover or oil mist will travel by gravity to the tank and fill it very quickly.
