After meeting a few forum members at Stafford show it's been said that my input to the forum has been missed (by some). I will be refraining from adding too many comments on every thing that I have an opinion about.
I have been busy the past few weeks sourcing new machines and investment in to the business. This has enabled me to buy stock in larger quanties and at cheaper prices, as a result of this I'm able to pass this saving on to you the forum members. A production run of parts is more cost effective as it saves time on machine set up. There will soon be a series of group buys offered only to this forum, please feel free to compare prices between my ebay listings and other parts suppliers.
Advice on how to assemble chassis and components will be given freely to those who ask for it either by private message or over the phone.
Regards Phil Talon Motorsport AKA Talon Fabrications

I don't see why you should so refrain, Phil. I think any post that isn't aimed at another member is perfectly acceptable. It's understood (or should be!)that everything said on a forum by anyone is only their own opinion (although some people seem to get very worked up about other people's opinions, for some reason)

You will have to explain it to me, I'm afraid, I tend to take a very straighforward view of things, and sometimes can't pick up the 'overtones' that other people seem to.
The thread you linked to involves a poster asking a question which I then answered. Others then put forward different views which were then discussed with different degrees of supporting evidence. So please explain to me where, if you can, I got worked up about someone else's opinion.
Or perhaps you think I should have considered myself outvoted, and accepted that all the 100mm sphere in an IVA test actually has no function (as according to some here apparently the tester can test whatever edges he likes, regardless of whether or not the sphere is able to contact them).

Here we go again........
The "Edges" thing was put to bed and anyway you stated you did not get involved in IVA's so somebody has a problem with reality.

Who stated that? Best to use the quote feature so people know who you are addressing.

Guys,
I think the point of this thread has been lost, it's actually about Phil's return to the forum. ;)
Welcome back Phil, with regards to your other post, our thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Kind regards
John

I couldn't agree more, it's a shame Bonzo felt it appropriate to have a go at me, when of course it was not appropriate (it never is appropriate to have a go at other members of a forum).
Whilst agreeing with the sentiment that it was about Phil's return to the forum, I will defend myself whenever and wherever I receive that kind of comment.
I notice Bonzo wasn't able to justify his remark after he was pulled up about it :D

Hey Phil, glad you chose to come back, can I ask what parts you will be offering in the group buys. I am right in the early stages, but always looking out for bargains.:)
Also is your email address on your ebay listing still active, as I sent a mail to you regarding a price for some chassis plates, wishbone kit and mushrooms, but had'nt had a reply?
Cheers joe.

Welcome Back Phil,
Didn't realise you where at Stafford - should have come over and introduced ourselves to each other.
Stafford was a quiet show but turned out to be a great success for ourselves, the Haynes Roadster and also the rotary based roadster (part build) we had on show there). Wont say too much but i'll be adding a build blog to website soon for any peeps to follow.
Have Fun.....AndyH

Welcome back Phil.
As a relative newcomer on the forum I won't comment on what's happened previously. I am just glad that there is a forum on which advice and opinions can be sought by folk like myself with little knowledge of the skills required to build a car.
It would be a strange world if we all had the same opinion on things so please if you think you have something to add to any discussion don't be afraid to give your opinion. Folk just need to respect it is just that, an opinion, even if it not the same as theirs.
Good luck with your business - look forward to seeing what's on offer on the group buys you mention.
Cheers
Geoff

I sent it through the email that appeared on the picture from one of your listings.
I have sent a mail to you now from the email above, cheers, Joe.
And also just read your previous post and could understand why you may not have replied, as you have a few other more important things on your mind.
I look forward to your reply.
Cheers, Joe.
