rear suspension/disc brakes

Hi all,
I am new to this building of a Haynes roadster and in trouble.
Does anyone have any pics of the rear suspension including the hub carrier and discs so i can make mine look the same

Which part is causing you trouble? The book is wrong if working from it, see the amendments section. For disk braked hubs the holes need to be vertical and are handed. Drum set up the holes need to be horizontal. Be aware that the holes are biased one way,best to compare the parts to RU8+7 plates before welding!

Dont want to pee on the bonfire,before you weld the mounting plate for the hub to the rear upright it will pay you to check the caliper does not hit the upright and the handbrake will work.

It needs to be at about 2 o'clock position,I think you may find the answer in Spikehaus's blog as he has sorted it.

Hi Misty,

Paul is correct just make sure you get the RU8 and 7's handed right, the side with the 2 bolts 94mm apart, not 90mm, need to be at the front facing forward 30 to 40 deg.
