Hi there,
can anyone help me with a problem I am having with the front frames.
I cut the pieces to the lengths given in the book, however when I bend them to the angles given the overall lengths are too short.

It would be helpful if you could put some photos on here, then it will be easier for the experienced amongst us to spot the problem quicker

Give the dimensions you are getting and it may help.
Have you looked up the front frame tutorial in the amendments section?

Hi Angel,
If you are working from the diagram at the top of page 162 , then ignore the 320 dimension in the top sketch, measure the total length of each FF2 & FF3 using the 290 + 69.5 dimensions & once you have cut the lower compound angle & the 26degree "notch" then the 14degree top angle it should all fit perfectly.
Just to explain the 320 dimension...........that is the total length AFTER all the cuts have been made to each part, so ignore it when measuring the intial length of steel you intend to cut.
Hope this helps
cheers

Knew Andy would sum it up perfectly, basically the diagram that Andy is describing shouldn't really be there as it just confuses people.
