60x60 or 2 1/4 steel bar?

Has any body got any spare 60x60mm or 2" 1/4 solid steel bar preferably
100mm+ in lengh? I've looked on ebay and can't seem to find any, I'll pay for it and the postage I just don't want to pay for 5-6mtrs plus delivery + VAT.

How about a swap for SB1 in 2mm?

I've only got 25x25x1.6 or 25x25x2 ERW so SB1 would be as per the book. I don't order in 25x50 as it's easier to use a one size does all.

Yes that is right, SB1 is 25X25 @ 528mm long .... 4 X SB1 are required ( 2 on each side of the chassis )

You can use 2 pieces of 50 X 25 box instead but it is not very cost effective to buy just over a metre of this material ;)

When I cut all of my 25x25 box to get it off the floor, I couldn't understand why I had so much left :confused:

Soon found out when I started constructing the chassis though :D

My problem is, I like to work from the pretty drawings & not reading the text that goes with them :o

I think we,ve all been in the "programme" at some point during our builds, like looking for a corner in a round room, is akin to the front frame the first time at making it :eek: :D.
