Change the fuel pump to an electric unit, put it in the boot, and modify the engine mount to provide clearance, or make a new one, or change the run of the steering column if you can't change the engine mount.

I think that changing the run of the steering column would be the best option but what is the best way to do that?
Thanks

because im tall i ran my steering column over the top of the pedal box instead of through it, caused me a world of problems with the alternator but might help you with your problem, and also drops the steering wheel angle a bit which is nice :)
