Hi Guys,

This is just to say a big thank you to a few people who helped out at the show this year.

Firstly a massive thank you to Gus for bringing his car down, as those of you who came can justify, pictures don't do this car justice! For those of you who couldn't make it, the attention to detail and finish of this car is spectacular. Gus was mobbed on both days and rightly so. Cheers Gus :D I'll post up some pictures soon. Also to Dave (Gus's mate) who made it down both days.

Thanks to Chris, it's a long way from Sheffield, and we are always grateful that he makes the trip to be with us for the weekend and help us eat the biscuits, sorry there was no kettle this year :D

Ash, good to see you again, Adrian, hopefully you've defrosted now, Barry, who's always happy to lend a hand no matter what it is, Ronnie, looking well my friend, the list could go on forever.

Also a big thank you to the other forum members who came, it's always nice to meet you, there were a lot of new faces this year of people who have just started/begining to start, which is great.

Kind regards

John, Keith & Tony

It was good to meet some of our fellow builders this weekend. Hope you all had a safe drive home.

Thanks to the guys at 3ge for your hospitality it was a great weekend.

The show was a lot better than last year which you could tell by the number of kits in the car park.

I haven't spoken to Gus since I left yesterday, but judging by the amount of interest his car was generating he must be well pleased with it. He doesn't give himself credit for what a wonderful car he has made.

See you all soon.

Dave

Probably the only time Gus had to breath, about 3 minutes past 10 I think and Ash collered him. As previously mentioned, Gus's car is truely amazing, he's set the bar very high in my opinion.

Kind regards

John

Eeeeee that's a pretty wee car you have built there and I can still feel the pain it caused me doing the bodywork as it was about that time when my shoulder was letting go.....looks damn smart mate and sorry I couldn't make it up to see it now:(

Pleased you all had a great time, looks like a great show. Which is better - Exeter or Stoneleigh? Adrian, that is some drive there and back in the roadster - i've done 200 miles motorway driving and that was enough for me...:o

Your car looks great there Gus, would like to have had a closer look. The Kwakker Green and the black wings look fantastic together - a very BIG well done. My car at shows, not looking as good as yours Gus (age and use) has always had a great deal of attention and i think people love the ethos of the self build project and when they compare them to higher priced production cars / kits they can see there is very little difference.

No sign of the single seater though John, thought we might see it with some Saturn bodywork on it - how's the front uprights doing? Would be nice to see the car complete after we've put so much time into our own contributions.

Hi Andy,

Show was great, it's always handy (not Andy) for us being just 6 miles up the road. Stoneleigh is probably better & larger, but it's a good end of year show.

No, Chris has made a few last miniute revisions to the chassis, so we decided it wasn't fair to show a chassis that would be representative of the finished item, uprights are all done, I think Chris may well have them on his car.

Kind regards

I would say Stoneliegh is the better show due to it's location and it's size, it attracts jonny foreign bloke and blokette too:D

When do we get to see some pics of the single seater then as it's been a wee while now?
