Recently the gear box wnet in my daily driver, here's the sequence of events:
Wednesday 10th November
Went online to 1st choice spares (www.1stcoice.co.uk) to search for a gearbox for my Citroen C2 VTS.
Thursday 11th November
Quoted £558.13 by a company called Cogtec for a fully reconditioned unit with free delivery and collection of old unit, Delivery date was stated as Tuesday 16th November
Friday 12th November
Payment taken from my bank account under the name of R S Transmissions
Wednesday 17th November
Phoned up Cogtec to ask where the gearbox was and was told that it had left their premises
Thursday 18th November
Was phoned by ‘Stuart’ the manager of Cogtec to say the he had be trying to trace the gearbox all the previous afternoon, and it had turn up as a return to the that morning in bits as it has been run over by a forklift, he said he would endeavour to replace it and have it with me as soon as possible, for a Saturday delivery, i told him that the garage shut at 12on Saturday so Monday would be fine.
Friday 19th November
Phoned Cogtec at approximately 3pm to find out the progress, Stuart was not in the office so a note was left for him to get back to me, he never did.
Monday 22nd November
Phoned Cogtec in the morning to ask about the progress and was told that it was dispatched on Friday and would be with me today.
Phone Cogtec again at around 3pm to say it still hadn’t arrive and was told that there was still an hour to go but he would look into it.
Tuesday 23rd November
Phoned Cogtec once again and was told that gearbox had been damaged by carrier again, I told them that i wanted a full refund and was told that I would be receiving a cheque within the next 7 days.
I'm holding out little help of receiving a cheque from them
