rear hub problem

Hi All
I was given a set of SIERRA wheels and fitted them on the front ok no prob
then i came to the rear of the car and all parts made to the book spec already on ,tried to fit the rims and found the lower wishbones were stopping the wheel from going on fully. any ideas what has happened as all seemed fine but now the rear wheels will just not fit .

What size & type of Sierra wheel are you trying to fit? 14" steel wheels will fit fine. 14" alloy wheels will not fit. This is exactly as it should be. I doubt you have made anything wrong.

I 'm no where near the stage you are at, I am planning to use the steel wheels to roll the chassis around on and buy something nicer wheels at the end of the build.

I seem to remember some threads about this, so a search may draw some results, (although the search facility on this forum is a little primitive).

In lieu of that: If memory serves me right steel wheels will fit (with a tiny clearance) but 'Sierra donor' alloys may foul. If you are only using the wheels during your build you can always put them on inside out!

I'm sure someone who actually knows for sure will put me right if necessary.

would wheel spacers be ok?

Sorry Misty, you need 15" alloys. Spacers will not work - you would have to push them out too far. Get some nice alloys of evil-bay, you don't want your nice car with crappy steelies on....;)
