Anybody shed some light on the following question.
Are the rear bearing carriers the same for push in and bolt on driveshafts and are the splined drive flanges the same.
Cheers.

It's possible to fit Lorobo bolt on outputs to the diff & Vice Versa from what I understand.
The bearing carriers are different between disk and drum. 99.9999% of drum braked cars had push in shafts. and as far as I am aware 100% of disk cars have bolt on shafts.

We fitted Lobro stubs to a push fit diff and had issues with the left hand stub locking the planet gear shaft.
The solution was to grind off a mil or 2 from the stub end, this makes the circlip groove a little close to the edge.
Either the push fit outer bearings sit a couple of mil further in the casing or the planet gear shaft is a little bigger in diameter.
It's not a drama but does need carefully looking at if you do this mod.

Thanks gents, next question is it possible to fit push in shafts/drive hubs to disc bearing carriers or do I modify drum carriers with a bracket to mount the caliper.
Cheers.

Only just read this and thanks once again.
Thinking again about what we where discussing with HA its feasable with a bike engine bolted right up tight with the diff.;)

I will pick it up on Saturday then as arranged !!!!!!!
Use the four tabs at the rear as we said for the top and bottom rails and possibly shorten the overall length, using the rear as is lessens problems and still use original rear end.
