Im disgusted by this lets just hope they will be mothballed untill needed again!
Which im sure they will if the argies kick off again which im expecting due to the amount of oil under te fawklands !

I remember the Harrier well, I served in the Falklands war on the hospital ship, we had a helicopter pad on the ship that was only designed to land helicopters, there was a Harrier that needed to land "Quickly" & we were the closest hard surface for the pilot to put it down ( us or the sea ), safely landed but melted the helicopter pad :eek:

Just like the demise of the British Merchant Navy, the Harrier has gone, makes one wonder what would happen if we needed them quick like in "82" :rolleyes:
