Fuel tank earth

I know there is an Iva requirement to earth the fuel tank however I am wondering if the earth lead from the internal pump/ sender unit will be sufficient. I am using he mx5 based sender this is earthed and bolted to the tank.

Any advice would be helpful.

Use a seperate lead from sender securing screws/bolts to chassis,remove paint and use star/spring washer.
