Well after I decided to write off the ZVH off and go the zetec route it's finally in

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/ZVHturbo18/Haynes%20Roadster/20140310_210220.jpg

Bit of a squeeze, tho had to remove one of the top chassis rails in the engine bay and the inlet touched the steering column

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/ZVHturbo18/Haynes%20Roadster/20140310_200249.jpg

But after a bit of fettling hopefully there is enough clearance now!

nice work James .....pleased to see someone else taking the charge cooler route, you wont regret it as it will bring the charge temps way down, much more efficient than a air/air jobby (much smaller too)

Slowly getting there John any news on your bodywork?

I used 1" foam from dunelm to fill in between the box section and then just carpeted over it

Nope, and he seems to have stopped replying to my emails now

Really, some of these guys are unbelievable. I hate relying on them it always pretty much puts a downer on a build. Alan at AGM has now sold on his moulds and retired too. Seems Equinox is the only "known quantity" supplier now, but they aren't cheap.:(

That's pants, nearly as long as I've been waiting for bodywork!

Bollox, AGM was my back-up plan :(

I actually got an email today offering me a refund. Would much rather just get my bodywork.

The thing that puts me off Equinox is a certain bloke that's always going on about how great Equinox are, calls his car an Equinox Roadster, has Equinox stickers plastered all over it, yet claims he has nothing to do with Equinox

But, as I understand it, the AGM parts are still available, just with someone else?

Skov, would an option be Phil's offer he posted a week or two back?

I would ask for a refund. The ones I bought from them had so much play in them I had to weld them solid.

My seats that I bought from them started to bubble.

And I also bought some genuine carbon fibre stone guards that looked like a car tyre had gone over them. After they send me the wrong ones. They had also been cut with a Stanley knife that had slipped and damaged the front face.

Would this be any good? Just spray it like you did with your bonnet and then get your refund.

FWIW when I spoke to Equinox, Ben really is just a pleased enthusiastic customer that lives local to Dave. Shouldn't let that put you off but you would need a new scuttle as well as bonnet and nosecone if you go equinox as they are an inch or so higher that others.

Just spray it like you did with your bonnet

Nooooooo, I don't want to spray anything like I did my bonnet.
I made three attempts, each worse than the last!

I just don't get painting

In a few weeks when I have cleared the floor in my workshop I want to spray my chassis with etch primer, this means I will be turning my build area in to a 20x20ft spray booth . As your not millions of miles away would you like me to paint your panels in a solid 2 pack colour and polish it for you?

Probably my fault for asking in the first place!:D

Kitspares said that the quality of the runners wasn't up to scratch so they are looking for another supplier but haven't found one yet! Didn't stop them taking my money tho!
