Well, it's taken two operations, six months of chemotherapy & two scans, but the consultant has declaired that I have (for now) beaten my cancer :D

I owe Tony & Keith big time, as they have struggled on without me during pretty much the whole time. I'd also like to thank everyone for their support and understanding during these past few difficult months.

It's going to be two to three months before I'm back to normal, the chemo has left me feeling like an old man (thats physically not some odd fetish I'll have you know!) so it will be a while before normallity returns.

It's not been the best time in my life and is something I dont want to repeat anytime soon, but does point out what is important in life.

Kind regards

John

Having read your plight for the beginning it is great to hear that you have beaten it.

My mum finshed her chemo about a month ago, it's amazing how quick she's regaining her strenght and hair and sure you will be doing the same.

Thanks guys, it is a big relief. It's not until the consultant actually says that there was no trace of it that you can actually relax.

You always try to remain positive, but you can't help but think what if.....

@Les, yeah, thanks mate! :D

Sorry John, just seen this thread.

Great news, i think all of us old / middle timers know everyone who's been affected by the dreaded C and it's nice to be given the all clear. It always seems to affect children with sick grandparents, lost 3 when i was young - still one left.
