I might have found a new engine for my roadster here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BAC-TSR2-RAF-Aircraft-Olympus-320-Jet-Engine-TSR-2-/140408084962?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20b0f959e2).
It will blow the budget though.;)

I hadn't seen it before Ginge and I go on LCB as much as the haynes forum.
It made me laugh. You have to ask though, how does a farm owner end up with a prototype jet engine, even if it is going for scrap, surely it would go to a scrap dealer not a farmer? :D

£2,000,000.00
Thats nearly a google of noughts (i know its not but it is a lot).
Fantastic piece of engineering considering its 45 years of age. Wonder what power to weight ratio you'd get for that, think it might beat the Bugatti Veron......;)
Good Find......AndyH

Brake Horse Power per Tonne????
Make your front wings a bit longer and a bit straighter, and I reckon your roadster will really FLY:D :D
Seriously though, how much money would you need in the bank to contemplate buying this. 100 million?? 200 million ??
Not sure I'd ever be able to justify it to the wife, no matter how much dough I had :)
