Will be driving it to the Bradford classic next month, It always rains on that run :(

Best drive so far was Le Mans 2008 (was anyone else there?) Exhibition demo "race" before the main event, drove it all the way there (sharing with the owner) raced 8 laps, then drove all the way back.

And don't be fooled by the length of the bonnet LOL its 1500cc :D

Anyone know what it is (without cheating and using the picture link to trace it back)

I'll give you a clue, its British and runs a beam axle front, cable drums all round (sorry, used to, upgraded to hydraulic now) :eek:

Ok, I will cave, As I LOVE this car like it was my own!

Its a 1947 HRG, one of the 3 works cars from Le Mans in 1949.

Its a HOOOT to drive, Runs a highly tuned Singer 1500 engine on a far too big side draught webber (60's mod)

tops out at 125mph on the Mulsanne straight :eek:

Has raced EVERY year since 1947, with the exception of 2006, It got rolled in 2005, before the roll bar was fitted!! (very messy for the owner!! since recovered)
