Right its time to get a new car i think. I have a 1L polo atm and its just not that good. Im thinking of going for a Smart Roadster coupe/brabas. Just wanted to see if you guys can think of anything else that is in the 4-5k range and good on fuel and fun. pref rwd or turbo lol

MMM, out of price range, but probably depreciated as far as it will go, so good investment.

What about a MX 5, and when the body falls off it you can buy a kit off Andy and turn it into another roadster!!

Failing that the BMW 318is is good fun and the fuel costs are not as bad as the 325 or 320

Get an MX8, I purchased this one today!:) Should be with me by early April. (They need to add some more body accessories!) Not so good with fuel or insurance but great for the summer cool rides.

don't get caught in the "small, new, cheap to run" trap.

I had to explain to a fellow petrol head that buying a 9K Yaris that did 60MPG was stupid.. All he saw was the 60MPG. Not the fact that his current 30MPG car cost him £300 a year all in, not £300 a month just on repayments..

He still eventually got the yaris and it bled him dry,

If your handy with the spanners then old is best.
