I welded my floor on personally but shouldn't you also use an adhesive if you're using rivits?

I used 4mm rivets for my floor, as Tilley, I used this size because that's what I had here :)
Here's a site for sealed rivets & all sorts of fasteners, prices are not too bad but the postage adds to the cost if your not spending enough to qualify for free postage.
Sealed Rivets (http://www.shop4fasteners.co.uk/acatalog/Sealed_Dome_Head_Rivets.asp)
Hope that helps :)

When buying those rivets make sure that you get the right length, they need to fall into their grip range . To long and they dont bite and to short and they wont expand behind the hole.

Yeah, it's the length I'm worried about.
I'm going to use a 1.5mm ally floor, and I think my chassis rails are 2mm, but I'm not sure how much to allow for the sealant.

Dont over do it with the sealer or you will find the rivet will expand between the panel and the chassis, just a light bead really and use those panel holders to squash out the sealer before you rivet.

I would use 2mm for the floor as it doesn't take much for something to puncture the thinner ali sheet. I don't advise welding sheet steel on the floor either as this can lead to distortion if fully welded, yet if only stitched in place it allows water and road junk to get trapped even if you use seam sealer and it will rot out just like any other car.
